Arne Grein grew up with sports, experiencing them both first and second hand, as son of a prominent Rowing coach.
After a successful career in competitive rowing he moved to a different
sport. In the early Eighties, he played American Football in the German
Premier league but due to physical injuries he switched to the
organisational side of the club HANAU HAWKS. When the club organized
the finals of the German championship, he was to thank for the
successful planning of the event attended by 6.000 spectators.
In the further course of the history of the club, Arne Grein was a
cofounder, general manager and public relations manager of the Baseball
department.
In 1987, he got his first glimpse of the world of motor sports, while
working for Dunlop’s department Motorbike Racing Service. The devotion
for this sport stuck to him ever since.
In 1993 a friend took part in the legendary 24h race at the famous Nürburgring, the so called ‘green hell’.
As nobody in the team was familiar with racing tires, Arne brought in
his expertise. Since that day he is the responsible for the ‘black
gold’ within the ‘Weiland Racingteam’.
The team has successfully participated for the past 13 years in the VLN
Langstreckenpokal at the northern loop of the Nürburgring. In addition,
the team won further victories in other well known 24h races. The team,
as well as the evolving demands for the staff, increased constantly. In
2001, Arne Grein took over the organisation for all mechanics and of
smoothing out run pit stop runs.
Based on his profound experience in staff management and his
references, Arne Grein was engaged by b+s exhibitions to coordinate the
security patrols of the Toyota und Lexus at IAA in Frankfurt. Due to
the excellent completion of these tasks the company biggSUPPORT was
founded in 2006.
